MALDEN IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY CONNECTION CIRCLES PROJECT

The Malden Immigrant Community Connection Circles Project, led by Action for Haitian Community Development, Inc. (AHCD), is a community-building initiative designed to strengthen relationships, reduce social isolation, and create meaningful connections among immigrant and newcomer residents, community organizations, service providers, and trusted institutions in Malden.

Through welcoming and culturally responsive community gatherings, educational sessions, workshops, and resource-sharing activities, the project creates opportunities for immigrant residents and families to learn, connect, share experiences, build relationships, and gain access to trusted information and community resources.

Activities offered through the project include the AHCD Friday Community Education Series, community connection circles, health and wellness education, financial literacy, workforce and career information, immigration and legal education, family support, and opportunities to connect directly with local organizations and service providers.

A central goal of the project is to help bridge the gap between immigrant communities and the institutions that serve them. By bringing residents and community partners together in accessible and welcoming spaces, AHCD seeks to strengthen trust, increase awareness of available resources, encourage community participation, and foster a stronger sense of belonging.

The project is based at the AHCD Newcomer Welcoming Center in Malden and is developed in collaboration with community organizations, professionals, institutions, volunteers, and residents who share a commitment to building a more connected and inclusive community.
